TOURS INFORMATION
Local tours will be arranged by ipst2011 committee. These tours will offer a very good opportunity to conference participants to appreciate Balinese culture, ancient civilization, Balinese daily life and traditions. Tour reservations can be made by completing the registration form which will be available on the reregistration day.
Tour Packages
The committee offers two full day tour packages :
1. Taman Ayun-Bedugul-Alas Kedaton-Tanah Lot (IDR 375.000/person)
2. Kintamani-Tampak Siring-Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave)-Sukowati Art Market (IDR 375.000/person)
The packages include lunch and dinner.

Tanah Lot

Pura Tanah Lot ("Temple of Land in the Middle of the Sea"), one of Bali's most important sea temples, is a spectacular sight especially at sunset. The temple is built on the rock with 3 acre size. The tiny island was formed by the gradual erosion of the ocean tide over thousands of years. The temple of Tanah Lot is said to have been founded by the 16th-century priest Nirartha, one of the last priests from Java who came to Bali. Tanah Lot is dedicated to the guardian spirits of the sea. The temple itself is said to be guarded from evil by the sea snakes that inhabit the caves below. Beside of this temple, there are other temples which can be seen on your visit to Tanah Lot like Batu Bolong Temple, Batumejan Temple and Enjung Galuh Temple.
Bedugul

Bedugul is a mountain lake resort area in Bali, Indonesia, located in the centre-north region of the island near Lake Bratan on the road between Singaraja and Denpasar. At Bedugul, we can enjoy a mild mountain weather due to its location at an altitude of about 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) above the sea level. Major sites in Bedugul are the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan water temple and the Bedugul Botanical Gardens. The Botanical Garden opened in 1959 under the name Eka Karya. With a total area of 129.2 hectares (319 acres), it is the largest botanical garden in Indonesia.
Alas Kedaton

Alas Kedaton is the famous monkey forest in Bali and it is one of tourism destinations in Tabanan Regency, west part of Bali. It is a small forest dwelt by the group of monkeys with fertile tropical trees that is one of the favorite habitats for wild animals. When we enter this forest, we will be straightly under the big tropical trees which the monkeys love it.
Kintamani

Kintamani is the most favorite tourist destinations in Bali with its active volcano of mount Batur and beautiful lake. Kintamani is surrounded by the captivating nature. There are six ancient villages around cauldron of Batur Lake which is often conceived by Bali Age Village. The local people from these Bali Age villages own the unique cultures, houses and life style. Kintamani is beautifully seen at the day time around 10:00 am until 15:00 pm especially having fine weather when we can see entire Kintamani area clearly. Generally, all tourists who pay a visit to this place will arrive in the day time where they can enjoy the panorama or enjoy the lunch in the local restaurant with lake view. Most restaurants at Kintamani generally own very beautiful view where tourist merging into their lunch in this restaurant and meanwhile enjoying the panorama.
Gua Gajah (Elephant Cave)

Gua Gajah (Elephant Cave) is built at crevasse edge from the federation of 2 rills that is called Pangkung River, where the irrigation is mixed with Petanu River flow. The federation area of two rivers is called Campuhan/Mixture. It owns the magical energy on the basis of Rwabineda Concept/two different matters on this basic concept hence Elephant Cave is intentionally built among two rivers. The word of Gua Gajah is anticipated coming from the word of Lwa Gajah, the name of Buddhist Temple or hermitage for Buddhist monk. There is a relief which is almost looking like the form of mountain on the entrance of this cave. It was carved with many designed on the relief like grove with the stick, close leaf, animal for example forest pig, tortoise and specters. The cave mouth is decorated by the bas-relief with the eye turn around to the right or west side. There is an article letter of Kediri type from the early of 11 century was written on the wall left side or east side. There is a pool (Patirthaan) as a place to take the holy Tirtha water for Hindu ceremony which is located in the middle of the cave courtyard.
Uluwatu

Uluwatu Temple is a Hindu temple set on the cliff bank in south part of Bali Peninsula. It is one of Sad Kahyangan Temple in Bali (six big groups of Bali Temples), located in Pecatu Village, Sub district of South Kuta, and Badung Regency or about 25 Km southerly part of Denpasar town. It is situated on the coral reef sordid to sea about 80 meters above the sea level. It is featured by a small dry forest which is mostly called by Alas Kekeran (interdict forest) which is belong to the temple and dwelt by a lot of monkeys and other animal. Name of Uluwatu was come from the word Ulu meaning the head and Watu meaning stone. Therefore, Uluwatu Temple means the temple which is built in tip of coral reef.
Tampak Siring

Tampak Siring Temple or Tirta Empul Temple is a holy spring water temple located in Tampak Siring Village, Gianyar regency and it is about 39 km eastwards from Denpasar town. It is set in the dale and encircled by the hill. In the west side of this temple, there is an Indonesian President palace which has been found by the first president. The name of Tirta Empul is loaded in a inscription which is kept at Sakenan Temple, Manukaya village, Sub district of Tampak Siring, about 3 km from Tirta Empul Temple. In this inscription, the Tirta Empul is named by the Tirta Ri Air Hampul and then the name has changed into Tirta Hampul and finally become the Tirta Empul. Tirta Ri Air Hampul is meaning the water emerge or the holy pool (Petirthan) which is the water emerge from the land.
